7 signs it is time to redesign your business website

A redesign is not about fashion. It is worth it when the current site costs you customers. Here is how to tell.

By the Tuncer Technologies team ·

The signs

  1. More than half your visitors are on phones, but the site is hard to use on one.
  2. Pages take more than three seconds to show the main content on mobile.
  3. You cannot update prices or hours without calling a developer.
  4. Your services, prices or brand have changed and the site still shows the old ones.
  5. Visitors arrive but rarely contact or buy; there is no clear next step.
  6. Browsers show “Not secure” or the theme and plugins are no longer updated.
  7. You are embarrassed to send the link to a new client.

Fix or rebuild?

If only speed or SEO basics fail, a targeted fix is cheaper. If three or more signs apply, a redesign usually costs less than patching. Run a free audit first: it shows which category you are in.

Frequently asked questions

How often should a business redesign its website?

There is no fixed rule. Many small businesses refresh every three to five years, or sooner when the business or technology changes.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

Not if URLs are kept or redirected properly and content is preserved. That is part of a careful redesign.
