Checklist: publishing your app on Google Play and the App Store

We publish our own apps on both stores. These are the items that most often delay a first release.

By the Tuncer Technologies team ·

Before you submit

  1. Developer accounts in your own (or your company’s) name: Google Play Console and Apple Developer Program.
  2. A public privacy policy URL that matches what the app actually collects.
  3. Google Play data-safety form and Apple privacy “nutrition” labels filled in consistently.
  4. App icon, screenshots for required device sizes, short and full descriptions.
  5. A demo login for reviewers if the app needs an account.
  6. Account deletion option inside the app if users can sign up (required by both stores).
  7. Testing through Google Play internal/closed testing and TestFlight before production.
  8. New personal Google Play accounts may need a closed test with testers before production access.

During review

Answer reviewer messages quickly and precisely. Most rejections are about missing demo access, unclear permissions or privacy mismatches, and are fixed with a resubmission.

Frequently asked questions

Can someone else publish my app for me?

Yes. Keep the app under your own accounts and invite a publisher as a team member so you stay the owner.

Why was my app rejected?

Common reasons are missing reviewer login, crashes, incomplete metadata, or data-safety answers that do not match the app.
